Well The City of Sunrise has a buyer incentive you may want to look into! They are offering you $2,ooo. What’s the catch? Well there are a few, but not what you may think! Here is the info straight from their site.

Effective January 1, 2012, the City of Sunrise is reimbursing homebuyers up to $2,000 for select improvements to a newly-purchased single-family foreclosure or short sale home. Under this innovative New Homebuyer Incentive Program, the City seeks to attract new residents to Sunrise – and benefit existing residents by helping to improve the appearance and property values in our neighborhoods.
The New Homebuyer Incentive Program is administered by the Redevelopment & Grants Division of the City of Sunrise Community Development Department. In order to claim a rebate, homebuyers should:

• Get prequalified for a conventional, fixed-rate mortgage or FHA mortgage
• Work with their Realtor® to find a single-family foreclosure or short sale in Sunrise
• Get prequalified for the City’s New Homebuyer Incentive Program grant
• Purchase the foreclosure or short sale for use as their primary residence
• Make one or more eligible improvements (including landscaping improvements, exterior house painting, roof replacement, or installation of energy-efficient appliances)
• Submit their supporting documentation to the City of Sunrise

I tried to take them the other day to a shop but the kids weren’t feeling it. So [...]]]> Today I took  my boys for the first time to a Barber Shop. I usually do there haircuts at home. I just thought since school is starting on Monday they should have a nice clean cut.

I tried to take them the other day to a shop but the kids weren’t feeling it. So I was talking with my Aunt today and I told her that the boys needed cuts. She said there was a place by her house that did a real good job. So off we went.  We walk in and its like walking into the movie the Barber shop with Ice Cube. Felt like a nice compfy place. The boys sat there looking around watching everyone. It was Anthony’s time to sit on the chair and he was a little worried. But once the guy got started Anthony felt more comfortable and once it was all done he says mommy can we come back again. I like him!

I went home telling myself, Yes! I have found a perfect place for the boys now, someplace I know that they want to go back. There was a young man there to get his hair cut, but he had his baby daughter with him, kind of a hard place trying to get your hair cut with a baby on your lap. I asked if I could hold her so it would be easier for him. He was just so happy and what a great baby she was. So while my kids were getting their cuts, I was holding this man’s little girl. It felt like a little family. I was just so happy to find a place like this. Will you find me there again? You bet!
