Well The City of Sunrise has a buyer incentive you may want to look into! They are offering you $2,ooo. What’s the catch? Well there are a few, but not what you may think! Here is the info straight from their site.

Effective January 1, 2012, the City of Sunrise is reimbursing homebuyers up to $2,000 for select improvements to a newly-purchased single-family foreclosure or short sale home. Under this innovative New Homebuyer Incentive Program, the City seeks to attract new residents to Sunrise – and benefit existing residents by helping to improve the appearance and property values in our neighborhoods.
The New Homebuyer Incentive Program is administered by the Redevelopment & Grants Division of the City of Sunrise Community Development Department. In order to claim a rebate, homebuyers should:

  • Get prequalified for a conventional, fixed-rate mortgage or FHA mortgage
  • Work with their Realtor® to find a single-family foreclosure or short sale in Sunrise
  • Get prequalified for the City’s New Homebuyer Incentive Program grant
  • Purchase the foreclosure or short sale for use as their primary residence
  • Make one or more eligible improvements (including landscaping improvements, exterior house painting, roof replacement, or installation of energy-efficient appliances)
  • Submit their supporting documentation to the City of Sunrise

Are you looking to buy a home in Broward County Florida? If so, one of the many things you need to do in the buying process is finding a Home Owner’s Insurance Company. Above is pictured a list of different insurance companies that are writing policies at the very moment.

Take in Mind

Take in mind that certain companies write for certain areas and for certain age of homes. Citizens is by far the one that writes the most popular, and that;s because it’s the one that writes for just about every house no matter age or area. If you currently have Citizens insurance and are up for renewal, I would suggest you call your Insurance broker and find out if you can now renew with a newer company. Citizen’s is by far the most expensive in my book, I had it for several years and I decided to check around, couple years back saved a ton of money, then 2 years ago, checked around again and saved even more money! I am now with Castle Key Insurance, they have given me the best rate there is out there!

Don’t be afraid

Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call several insurance companies. Lucky for me, I have a great Insurance guy and when I call he knows me by my first name and always is checking for better rates! The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office is presently seeking bilingual workers to fill the requirements of providing language assistance to voters in Broward County.
Interested persons must satisfy the following requirements in order to be considered for these positions:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be a registered voter in Broward County
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish , or English and Creole
  • Attend a three-hour training session to learn tasks and responsibilities of poll workers

Persons selected to serve as poll workers will be placed in precincts within their city of residence and will be compensated $165.00.

Starting with….

Yesterday I posted about joining a group called 365 Eliminating Crap. That got me started on changing on how I do things, it starts with removing clutter, from the inside out. Clearing out cabinets, closets, drawers, and either trashing it, or donating the goods. That’s what this week is about.

Now onto Real Estate……

Now more then that, I am making changes to how I handle my business. I want to make my customers know that they are always a priority. (Not that they weren’t before, but also taking that to the next level). How I prospect, how I list, how I handle buyers.

You will see more of me as far as blogging and has far as Real Estate, and more videos on listings and communities. I am really going to take 2012 by storm!

This house has been decorating for over 11 years, and I believe I have gone for all those 11 years. Every year, they add a few pieces to their decor, and my children just love going to them every year and picking out what is new. I believe they got everyone right.

Broward County library has finally caught up with the times. You now can re-new books online, download #ebooks, and #audiobooks. I am an advide reader, as well as my children, but being so busy to stop and run into the library to find a book and then to wait on the line to check the book out, who has the time? Not only that, you have to return it, and I have MANY times, forgotten when to return the #books back. So I get stuck with having to pay the overdraft fees.

How it works…..

Now I own a #Kindle as well as an #iPad, and being able to download and read right off of those two is a great thing to hear! Now to tell me kids that they can read the books off of the #iPad, they are going to be so happy. You have to go to the Library’s site and click on the BCL WOW button on the right hand side.

It will take you to a page that has a link for the #ebooks, you will click on that link, that will take you to the page for the ebooks and all the audio books, plus those for the iPod audio.

Now the search is on….

Once there you can search for just about anything, but you need your library card. Once you have found what  you are looking for you will need to input the card number. The library also has a free mobile application that  allows you to learn 80 different languages while on the go. Easy as one, two, and three.

Re-Newing online….

You now can also renew your books you have checked out from the library. You will be able to do just about anything from your #iPad. I’m afraid that the libraries will become ghost towns, but at the same time very excited to have the application at my finger tips.
