This home was listed last week in Coconut Creek and is already rented, and tenant has moved in! What a crazy week it was, this home had so many showings and so many offers! The landlord was overwhelmed with how fast this all went.

Do you have Renter’s Insurance?
The other day I found out that a friend was robbed. They really wiped her out while she was at work. They took her TVs, wedding rings, purses, her daughter’s laptop, iPod and other things. I felt so bad! Thing is where she lives, there are many empty houses due to foreclosures. So no one else saw this happening, they must have hidden in one of the surrounding houses. So my question to her was, do you have renter’s insurance? She said she didn’t even know they had anything like it until the police officer about it.
Now there is no way for her to replace her items, other than saving up and buying them again. If she would have had renter’s insurance, she would have been able to file a claim and would have been reimbursed for it, aside from the deductible. Renter’s insurance is fairly reasonable to have, usually it would run you around $300-$500 for the year.
So let me ask those of you who do rent, whether or not you have renter’s insurance and if not, would you consider getting it after hearing what I just told you about my friend?

Can I do Rentals?
I was asked the other day whether or not as a REALTOR whether or not I could do rentals? My answer? What makes you think I can’t? Well an agent I was trying to work with said she doesn’t work with rentals.
Ah now I see where you are getting at…. Yes I work with rentals from both ends. I list them and I work with those who are looking for rentals. I know many agents who do not do rentals. Why? Its just a preference. There are those who only work with buyers and those who only work with sellers.
