Why I love South Florida
One of my ultimate favorite things about South Florida are our Palm Trees! You can find them just about every where you go. Whether you are driving down Broward Blvd, driving down A1A on Fort Lauderdale Beach, or when you get off the plane at Fort Lauderdale International Airport, you can find them.
I love to take photos of them. I plan on adding a new Palm Tree picture over the next few weeks.

Festival Flea Market Annual Car Show
So this weekend we received a phone call that family was in town and would like to stop by. We haven’t seen this family in over 5 years, so we were excited. He says there is a car show going on in Pompano Beach and if we didn’t mind going to see it.
My husband and sons are BIG car fans, so we say, why not. It was being held at the Festival Flea market. We drive in 2 cars, since we have such a big family, and once we get there, my mouth drops. Cars were parked all along Sample Road. All I thought was, we are never going to find a spot, let alone two. So we turn into the flea market, wait a few minutes and was able to find 2 spots, thank goodness.
As we walked the parking lot filled with hundreds of cars, from Classic Cars, Modern cars, Car companies selling new products, I am amazed of what I am seeing. Of course my boys, all three of them are in heaven just looking at all of them. Turns out that this particular car show happens every year. Where was I all this time?
The family that was in town are from Canada, and one of the cars that was in attendance, turned out to live not to far from them. They had just seen this same car in a show the week before. What are the chances of running into them like this is all I thought.
Guess next year we will know in advance and prepare for the event, get there early enough. Enjoy some of the pictures from the event.

Back to School Time!
Tomorrow is the first day of school for Broward and Miami – Dade. Its been a little crazy the last few days. The bus passes showing our assigned buses were not sent out till late and lots of parents (including myself) have been really worried, wondering if our children were assigned one. Transportation department was bombarded this weekend with parents. I received my bus pass, but for only 2 out of my 3 kids, and for only the morning and not the afternoon. I was not able to make it to the open house at the transportation office, so I will take care of this problem during the week.
Now with the traffic tomorrow, man it will be crazy, I would suggest you leave your homes early. Plan for extra time, cops are usually out in packs, so pleasae take your time and watch your speed limit.
Now my kids are ready, made them a great dinner, they have their clothes picked out and ironed. Are they excited? Super excited. My son came to me yesterday thinking it was sunday and saying how excited he was that tomorrow was the first day of school. All I could do was laugh and was please to see how excited he was. Is mom excited, beyond excited! This school year is going to be awesome, my daughter is going into 4th grade, my middle son is going into 2nd grade, and my youngest into 1st.
Where does the time go? How many are you are ready? How many parents are even more ready then the kids?

What a horrible feeling!
I found out the other day that my site was hacked. Now just a simple little hack, real bad and turned out they were watching my key strokes. I almost died!!
How could this have happened, when did this happen, and could I have prevented it. Thing was, I didn’t even know I was hacked. The site was moving real slow, and my husband telling me you know if someone came to search for something they will leave. Well I know he was right.
I made a call to a friend to say I can’t figure out or understand why my site is moving slow. Is it the plug ins I have? Are there too many? She tells me let me check and get back to you. When she called me back and gave me the devastating news, I almost died!
Now what do we do?
She recommend a couple of guys that could fix, and maintain the site for me. I had to move quick. Turns out this happened at the same time as a local company was promoting me. I couldn’t have the site down now that I was/ am having increased traffic.
So I hire them, they have been working on it for 2 days straight, with issue after issue. I was afraid they were going to tell me they wouldn’t be able to correct the problem. We have had multiple phone calls back and forth.
Then this happens……
Now things started to move smoothly after majority of the files were finally transferred.
Then I get even more horrible news. None of the media files transferred. Huh? Really? Why? Not sure, we did it more then once and each time the file is empty! Oh goodness now what! The solution was to call the previous company to have them send me the upload file from the server. All my media should still be there. Ok, I tell them will call now.
Making the call……
I call and explain what happened and what I needed. The lady at the other end pretty much told me “oh well, you should have backed it up before you canceled with us”. WHAT! Are you kidding me! We did back up the files, they are empty! She then tells me well in order to. Restore the files we have to charge you $150 dollars. WHAT! Well she said, we have to hire a courier to get the files from our off site server.
This is crazy I tell her. She responded with, again you should have backed up the photos on your PC. I said look lady, the computer that had all the pictures was stolen when my car got broken into. She said there is nothing we can do. OMG you can’t be serious. She sure was!
I went to twitter and went on a rant like no other. I told them how horrible there customer service was and how I have spent money over the years, and now I finally need there help with something they want to charge me extra. Then you have the nerve to send me an email asking how was there customer service. REALLY!?! I went on how unhappy and how wrong they were for doing that, and couldn’t believe you would say it was my fault this happened!
Well they responded back on twitter asking how they could correct the issue? We want to help you. Really? You want to help me now? Now that I have gone on my rant, but you couldn’t help me when I was on the phone with you.
So we went back and forth, and them telling me they would research and get back to me. After all that said, they finally restored my media files and we were able to transfer them. I thank them for everything they did to get that to me!
My issue was that if I didn’t go on my rant on twitter I would have been out of years worth of photos! I should have not had to do what I did. But it got the job done and now the guys can get back to work on fixing the rest of it.
I can finally breath knowing that everything is back on track!

Coaching Tamarac Youth Soccer
My children are going to be playing there second year in Soccer. Last year they played on Team Mexico. Registration began in September for the 2009-2010 season. The President of the Soccer was our team coach for my kids. So when we went to get the kiddos signed up he asked, Can you coach this year? Me coach, are you nuts? I have no training in soccer. Now I am a big sports person. I love all types of sports. He tells me that they will be giving training for the coaches.
My response was, what the heck, why not, I am going to be there anyways, sure I will do it. Big smile I get from Coach Joe. Filled out my papers, got them notarized and got my coaching badge. I have done some training drills they had for the coaches.
My team is Team England and I have 8 team members. Our first game is on December 12 at 12 O’clock. I am looking forward to this game and at the same time very nervous.
So look for post on Sundays since our game days are on Saturdays. Whether we win or lose, you will see pictures and totals. This is going to be a fun and exciting season. Come and follow along!
