Broward and Palm Beach counties offering FREE immunizations
Broward and Palm Beach County health departments are offering free back-to-school immunizations around South Florida this month before kids return to classes on Aug. 20.
“Beat the back-to-school rush and get your child immunized now,” said Candy Sims, spokeswoman for the Broward County Health Department.
In Broward, immunizations will be offered:
- Sunrise Fire Rescue, 6800 Sunset Strip,
Sunrise
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday - Lauderhill Fire Rescue,
1980 NW 56 Ave
Lauderhill
Monday through Thursday
Additional clinics will be offered through Aug. 20 in Lauderhill, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Coconut Creek, Sunrise, Lauderdale Lakes and Pembroke Pines. The schedule is listed on the health department website at Browardchd.org or call 954-467-4705.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and should have previous immunization records, Sims said. Physicals and vaccinations will not be offered at county health centers this year, she said.
