Take in Mind
Take in mind that certain companies write for certain areas and for certain age of homes. Citizens is by far the one that writes the most popular, and that;s because it’s the one that writes for just about every house no matter age or area. If you currently have Citizens insurance and are up for renewal, I would suggest you call your Insurance broker and find out if you can now renew with a newer company. Citizen’s is by far the most expensive in my book, I had it for several years and I decided to check around, couple years back saved a ton of money, then 2 years ago, checked around again and saved even more money! I am now with Castle Key Insurance, they have given me the best rate there is out there!
Don’t be afraid
Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call several insurance companies. Lucky for me, I have a great Insurance guy and when I call he knows me by my first name and always is checking for better rates!
