image405016228.jpgI lived in NY a very long time ago. I left when I was 12, so I pretty much grew up in South Florida. But I always travel here and have always taken the time to hit the City and made it to The World Trade Center.

When they went down I was at home, my husband had just gotten home from work as I was getting ready. It took us by surprised and at the time my sister in law was working not to far from there so we were worried about whether or not she was in trouble. It was hard since all the cell servers were over loaded.

We managed to get ahold of her. She had to walk over the Queens bridge to get home. But she saw the devesisation first hand.

I told my kids about it and they had watched a movie so they understand what happened. We took them down to ground zero and they couldn’t believe it. They asked a ton of questions, I myself had not been there since the towers went down. So for me this meant something as well. For the kids it was different since we tell them that movies are make believe, I had to explain that soMe movies are made from real life issues.

They saw some statues with peoples names on it that past away on the wall. You should take the time to walk by them.
