Hurricane Checklist
Here is a list that you should have in your hurricane kit. I have a tote with all my supplies that I keep in the garage. Every June I go through it and make sure if I need anything to pick it up.
- Drinking water- One gallon per person per day. Have enough for about five days.
- Food- Enough for at least 5 days.
- Diapers- Formula- This you should have as well.
- Manual can opener- bottle opener.
- Paper good- cups, plates, napkins, utensils
- Household bleach
- Extra Bedding
- Clothing
- First aid kit
- Medicines
- Hand santizer
- Flash light- one per person
- Car charger
- Hardline Phone
- Books and games for the kids
- Pet food
- Tool Kit- Rope, hammer, wood nails, saw, tarp, duct tape
- Plastic bags
- Propane gas or charcoal
- Fire extinguisher
- Waterproof matches
- Sunscreen, and Mosquito repellent
Seems like a lot to have. Most of this stuff I already have in there, so I am not constantly running to go buy every year. Once you have it that’s it. I usually have to buy batteries, water, food and stuff for the kids.
